Executive Director:
Nar-Anon Family Group Headquarters, Inc. is seeking a part-time Executive Director to support its World Service Office (WSO) in Torrance, California. This position reports to and is directly accountable to the World Service Board (WSB) in all functions. He/she is responsible for the fellowship’s consistent achievement of its mission and financial objectives. The Executive Director is considered an officer of the corporation and shall attend meetings of the board and the Executive Committee. This position will be working remotely.
Duties & Responsibilities
Responsible for fiscal management of corporate funds within the approved budget, ensuring maximum resource utilization, and maintenance of the corporation in a positive financial position.
Oversight of the Office Manager of the WSO in handling day-to-day operations, literature production, replies to fellowship inquiries, etc.
Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Develop staff job descriptions and conduct regular performance evaluations.
Ensure that sound human resource practices are in place.
Maintain and update the employee handbook.
Responsible for carrying out projects and proposals directed by the board and the World Service Conference (WSC).

Qualifications
A member of Nar-Anon Family Groups’
A minimum of six years’ experience above the group level
The ability to work with members worldwide, including different time zones
A working knowledge of the fellowship’s bylaws, policies, and guidelines
Organizational and communication skills
Management or financial knowledge

Office Assistant:
Nar-Anon Family Group Headquarters, Inc. is seeking a full-time Office Assistant to work in its World Service Office (WSO) located at 23110 Crenshaw Blvd. Suite A, Torrance, California 90505.
This position is responsible for performing clerical tasks such as answering phones, scheduling appointments, managing calendars, handling incoming and outgoing mail, preparing documents, filing paperwork, and providing general administrative support to the part-time Executive Director and the Office Manager.
Duties & Responsibilities
Answer phone calls, take messages, and direct calls to the appropriate member of the WSO staff
Document preparation: Drafting emails, letters, memos, reports, and presentations
Maintain organized filing systems, both physical and digital
Order and maintain office supplies in conjunction with the Office Manager
Maintain paper and other stock inventory to produce literature
Assist in the production of Nar-Anon literature
Input and update information into databases
Greet visitors and direct them to the appropriate WSO staff member
Qualifications
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with co-workers and members of the fellowship
Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple deadlines, work efficiently, coordinate with duties of literature production
Ensure accuracy in all administrative tasks
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Familiarity with QuickBooks or other accounting software to assist in the recording of literature orders and contributions to the fellowship
Maintain discretion when handling sensitive information and/or interactions within the fellowship.
